A TEA CUP IN A STORM

Oh, us English
Totally unflappable,
Stiff upper lip
The norm.
Our answer
To troubles palpable,
Being a tea cup
In a storm.
The beverage
So quaffable,
A tincture
Soothing and warm.
Car crash,
Loved one lost,
Any ailment In fact
Soothed
By
A tea cup
In a storm.
For centuries the 'T'
Added to our morality,
Putting our nation
Top of the civilised form.
This Steaming brew
Aiding our mortality
God bless
The teacup in a storm.
