SHALL WE DANCE?

Oh, how she glides
Oh, how she dances
And sings,
The storyline unfolds
As she moves
Capturing the hearts
Of kings.
A lovers scent
Heaven sent
Shall we dance?
Dear angel
Please dance my words
My only chance.
Deep rooted
Deep, set in stone
Gnarled, ancient tree,
She flits, butterfly dancing
All I've to offer
Is my words and me.
I dream of her
Willowy, lissome nymph
She caresses my soul,
Outstretched arms
I grope in the dark.... I hope
Her capture is my goal.
I dream of dreams
Chasing the solar flare
But, never changing stance,
The butterfly lands
To soak the rays
Of my ageing sun
Shall we dance?
