MY STAR
I felt lonely and
hollow tonight
Like a black hole
deep in outer space.
Sucking life in as
a vacuum,
Shredded feelings
just left in its place.
I was worried about
my lady
And what she had
chosen to say,
As I plunged
through the darkness of time
I was considering
just floating away.
Then suddenly from
the vortex of thought
Her beautiful star
shone before my eyes,
Her smile as
radiant as a supernova
Across the cosmos
its purity did fly.
Why did I ever need
to worry?
My lady is a true
star of delight
Her spirit as
soothing as a moonlit field
With words that
will caress me tonight.
