PETAL IN THE BREEZE
(Dedicated to the
memory of Jacqueline Gordon)
“Beloved
sister to my dear friend Marjorie”
If a tree
represents our whole world,
With its branches
being the route for our life,
In full
bloom its flowers depict the family.
Its petals, the
brother and sister,
Father and mother,
The husband and wife.
A wind sometimes rocks
our world,
Scattering scented
petals from the tree.
One such petal
floated gently on the breeze,
So sweet, fun
loving and pure of heart,
She gave love with
a single smile
So adored by her family.
When you walk
through the park on a sunny day,
You’ll hear her
whisper to you from the trees.
Remember the good
times you've had,
And her smile being
the sun on your face,
Beautiful
Jacqueline
An angel and a
petal in the breeze.
