SPACE DUMP
Take a look into
the sky
At those twinkling
stars
On a crystal clear
night,
It might be a
constellation,
Or the edge of a
galaxy
Oh, if only we were
right.
What we thought we
could see
Far out there in
the dark
Were just far off
planets and worlds,
But, they’re just TV
satellites
And lots of space flotsam,
Which, into orbit
they’ve been hurled.
When wishing on a
star
Looking dewy eyed
into the sky,
With your favourite
girl linked arm in arm.
Be careful they
don’t start falling.
As a lump of metal,
falling from space,
Could do you a whole lot of harm.
Our planet is full
With allsorts of
crap
There’s rubbish all
over the place,
It’s time to start
Dumping it
elsewhere,
That’s why there is
a space race.
Billions spent each
year
To try to get to
Mars,
It isn’t to seek
Out new life forms,
It’s for somewhere
to dump
Our scrap cars.
