OLD BOYS CLUB
In Britain there’s
a stench of cover up
And the reek of
power corruption.
They wonder why
there’s rioting,
Burning streets and
a community’s eruption.
When police tell
lies about Hillsborough
And the deaths are the fault of fans,
Why the highly paid
retiree can’t be jailed,
When he’s blood
upon his hands?
The systematic
abuse over years
Of our country’s
vulnerable young,
By TV personalities
and celebrities
Their appeals were
ignored, cries to the winds flung.
It’s the ‘Old Boys
Club’ at work here,
Protecting their
own interests,
Their occasional
good will gestures
Just giving enough
to appease us.
To prove my point,
I’ll just say
this...
“When a banker
defrauds a bank
He gets a life
sentence”
“When banks defraud
their customers,
The bastards get a bonus!”
Phil Hall May 2013
