THE SHUTTER
What happens in the
world
When we blink?
What goes on,
When the camera
lens clicks?
It might be
something very important
We miss, when the
shutter flicks.
If we blink twelve
times
In a minute,
And take hundreds
of photos
Every year,
That’s hours of
life we’re missing,
The darkness can
fill one with fear.
Is there
Somebody we never
see,
Who only comes out
When the shutter
comes down?
They may be the
ghosts,
Who are haunting
our town.
We are
Losing time in our
life
To darkness,
Though, we can make
ourselves gain a day.
Run the opposite
way to how the earth spins,
And keep the
shutters darkness at bay.
